Peat works
He started in 1964 at the Tytuvėnai peat works. The first year was assembling engines.
Then transport. Peat went by wagon from the fields to the road, then to Tytuvėnai station, and on to boiler houses in Kaunas.
A wagon was lifted high. Heat rose as the peat fell. At night the radiator had to be covered. They heated with their own peat.
